Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find answers to the most common questions we receive about our TourVessels. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

Q1. What makes TourVessels boats unsinkable?

A: Our boats are built with high-quality fiberglass and feature a solid, reinforced hull design with built-in buoyancy. This construction makes them exceptionally stable and virtually unsinkable – even in rough conditions. Safety is our top priority, giving you and your guests peace of mind on the water.

Q2. What sizes are available?

A: We offer six versatile sizes:

  • 10 m × 1.40 m – Intimate tours, small groups
  • 12 m × 1.60 m – Day trips, family outings
  • 14 m × 4 m – The all-rounder, groups up to 12
  • 16 m × 4.50 m – Commercial tours, larger groups
  • 20 m × 5 m – Major operations, group charters
  • 25 m × 6 m – The flagship, big groups, serious business

Custom sizes are available on request.

Q3. What does the base price include, and what if I want a fully built tour boat?

A: The base price includes the unsinkable fiberglass hull, a basic steering console (helm station), and your choice of a textile (canvas) or hard sunroof.

That is it. This keeps the boat rugged, affordable, and perfect for:

  • Commercial fishing vessels
  • Cargo carriers
  • Operators who want to install their own equipment

Do you want a full tour boat with cabins, enclosed seating, custom interiors, or other major upgrades?

That is not our specialisation. Instead, we work with a trusted partner shipyard in Europe that handles complex passenger conversions. We will:

  • Deliver the bare hull and basic roof to your location
  • Introduce you to our partner shipyard
  • They take over from there – building the cabin, installing the seating, and handling all the technical certifications for commercial passenger use

This gives you full control over the upgrades and add-ons. You can make it as luxurious as you like, or keep it as economical as possible to perfectly fit your budget and requirements.

You pay the shipyard directly for the custom build. This keeps us focused on what we do best – importing and finishing rugged hulls – while giving you access to expert shipbuilders for the complex work.

We only recommend shipyards we have worked with before. They already know our hulls inside out, so there are no surprises, no costly re-inspections, and no expensive recalculations. This approach saves you significant time, money, and unnecessary worries.

Q4. Do I need a licence for boats over 15 metres?

A: Yes. In most European countries, commercial vessels longer than 15 metres require a professional boating licence. This is standard maritime regulation, and commercial operators already employ qualified skippers who meet these requirements.

For our clients, this is not a barrier – it is a sign of quality. A 25-metre TourVessels is a serious, commercial-grade vessel, operated by professionals who know exactly what they are doing.

We recommend checking with your local maritime authority for specific requirements in your region. We are always here to help if you need guidance.

Q5. What if I need a cabin, passenger seating, or a fully enclosed boat?

A: That is entirely possible – but we do not do that work ourselves. We are hull suppliers, not shipbuilders.

We have partnered with experienced shipyards throughout Europe that specialise in passenger conversions.

Once you order your basic hull from us, we can connect you directly with them. They will then design and build your custom cabin, seating, enclosures, heating, and handle all the necessary commercial passenger certification.

This means you work directly with the experts — no middlemen, no hidden markups, and full control over the final result.

You will pay the shipyard directly for these upgrades. It keeps our prices low for the base boat, and gives you access to professional shipbuilding expertise for the custom work.

Q6. Are the colours and painting standard?

A: No. The hull is delivered in standard white as the base finish. However, we offer optional traditional colours and decorative designs upon request. These can include classic African patterns, custom stripes, or any colour scheme you prefer to match your brand or fleet identity.

We can even create regional designs that reflect the area where you operate. For example:

  • Hawaii – Hawaiian art and tropical motifs
  • Alaska – Eskimo or indigenous designs
  • Caribbean – Jamaican or other tropical island styles

Whatever your region or cultural preference, we can adapt the design to your requirements. Your TourVessels will not only perform beautifully – it will also tell a story that resonates with your guests and community.

Please contact us to discuss your preferred colour scheme and design – we are happy to create a look that makes your TourVessels stand out on the water.

Q7. Can I use a TourVessels for commercial fishing?

A: Absolutely. Our boats are rugged, stable, and built for serious work. The spacious deck and unsinkable hull make them ideal for commercial fishing, tuna fishing, and long days on the water. We have many clients using them for fishing charters with great success.

Q8. What is the delivery time?

A: Delivery times vary depending on the model, customisations, and current production schedule. Typically, you can expect delivery within 3 to 6 months from order confirmation. Please contact us for a more precise estimate based on your specific requirements.

Q9. Do you ship to other countries in Europe?

A: Yes. We are based in The Netherlands and ship our finished boats across Southern Europe, including Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and beyond. We can also arrange delivery to other European countries upon request. Shipping costs are quoted separately based on your location.

Q10. Do you have a warranty?

A: Yes. We offer a limited warranty on the hull against material or manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery, subject to normal use and proper maintenance. Engines and other third-party components are covered by their respective manufacturers' warranties.

For full details, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
